Following today’s announcement by the England and Wales Cricket Board (ECB) of the domestic fixtures for 2023, we are pleased to confirm several domestic matches on the Lord’s fixture list, in addition to the international calendar which has already been confirmed.
Middlesex will play six LV= County Championship matches at the Home of Cricket in 2023 as they return to Division One for the first time since 2017, and four Vitality Blast T20 matches. The Charlotte Edwards Cup will also come to Lord’s for the first time, with Sunrisers in action against South East Stars.
Middlesex begin their LV= County Championship campaign on Thursday 6 April when Essex are the visitors to Lord’s, and Nottinghamshire, Kent and Somerset all visit before the end of May.
The Vitality Blast then returns as Middlesex welcome Surrey to Lord’s on Thursday 25 May for the eagerly anticipated London derby, which will follow Sunrisers’ Charlotte Edwards Cup clash with 2021 champions South East Stars.
Sussex Sharks are the visitors on Thursday 8 June before two matches in quick succession see Middlesex face Kent Spitfires on Friday 16 June, and Essex Eagles on Sunday 18 June.
Four-day cricket reappears on Wednesday 19 July when County Champions Surrey are Middlesex’s opponents. The final Championship clash of the summer comes in September when Middlesex face Warwickshire, from Tuesday 19 onwards.
Middlesex will also taste One-Day Cup action at the Home of Cricket in 2023, when they will take on Lancashire on Saturday 20 August.
