There are few better places to hone your skills than the Indoor Cricket Centre at the Home of Cricket.

With the ability to cater for a range of events and featuring state-of-the-art facilities, the Indoor Cricket Centre is the perfect place to develop your skills or to simply have a great time with family, friends or colleagues.

THESE SESSIONS ARE BOOKED ON AN HOURLY BASIS AND WITH A COACH (AND A BOWLING MACHINE IF REQUIRED) FOR PERSONALISED COACHING.

This may be one-to-one or for up to two adults or children - the cost is per hour and irrespective of the number of participants in the session (a maximum of two are currently permitted).

Sessions may be booked in bulk and a regular slot every week may be possible but not guaranteed. All bookings are strictly based on individual availability and certain times of the year the availability may be limited.

Please note: Participants must wear non-spiked trainers and need to provide their own batting and bowling kit.

There are few better places to hone your skills than Lord's Indoor Cricket Centre at the Home of Cricket.

The Indoor Cricket Centre has eight indoor nets, with 'SuperGrasse' playing surface. Nets can be booked for practice all year round.

All nets have shock absorbers at the bowling crease to protect the bowlers from injury, in additon, the fast bowling lanes have shock absorbers from the start of the runup.

The Indoor Cricket Centre has a 'breathable' design, making it ideal to allow sunlight (but no hard shadows due to special sails in the roof) and natural air flowing throughout the building - ideal for practice all year round!

All coaching sessions are 55 minutes in duration unless otherwise specified. Maximum SEVEN players per net.

Please note: We would prefer if participants wear conventional cricket whites and must wear non-spiked trainers – however we have relaxed our policy to be more inclusive and coloured clothing and shorts are now permitted. Participants need to bring their own batting and bowling kit, the stumps are provided within the nets.

The Indoor Cricket Centre may be booked for indoor cricket matches. Teams can be from 5-8 a-side and will need to bring their own equipment. The cost is from £500 for a 16 over game using half the hall and includes the services of a scorer and umpire.

Birthday Parties

Planning a birthday party for cricket-loving kids aged 8 and older? Look no further! Our cricket parties offer an hour of exciting activities that are both fun and sporty.

For Larger Groups (12-20 Children):

  • We recommend our hour-long party, which is suitable for younger cricketers aged 8 and up.
  • Our coaches will start with enjoyable warm-up drills to get everyone in the groove.
  • Then, it's time for a thrilling 40-minute competitive match, perfect for keeping kids engaged.
  • While having an even number of players is ideal, it's not mandatory.
  • If you have specific party ideas in mind, please let us know beforehand, and our coaches will adjust the session accordingly.

For Smaller Parties (8 or Fewer):

  • If you have a smaller group of 8 or fewer children, we offer alternative options.
  • Choose from small coaching group sessions or technical analysis (recommended for ages 10 and above and not suitable for beginners).

Pricing:

  • 1 Hour Party with 3 Coaches: £284 (for 16-20 children)
  • 1 Hour Party with 2 Coaches: £256 (for 8-15 children)
  • Coaching session for up to 6 people in a single net: £86
  • 1-hour Coaching with Bowling Machine: £97

Additional Notes:

  • For children under 11 or those without cricket experience, we recommend having three coaches for added guidance.
  • If children have cricketing experience and play with a hard ball, it's a good idea for them to bring their own kit. However, we can provide extra equipment if needed.

Party Extras:

  • After the net session, you'll have access to our function room for an hour.
  • Feel free to order catering from our menu or bring in a birthday cake of your choice (see attached catering menu).
  • Note that catering orders should be made at least 2 weeks before the booking date.

FAQs

All bookings for Lord's Cricket Courses must be made online here. Bookings for Courses are subject to availability so please book in advance to avoid disappointment.
 

The number of people on the course depends on the age and type of session. Please see the table below for the maximum numbers for each age group.

For a course that is fully subscribed, there will be four coaches allocated per session.

Participants on the older age groups (Year 3 and above) are encouraged to wear cricket whites if they have them but can also wear any cricket training kit they have as well as trainers suitable for indoors.

For the younger age groups (Year 2 and below) participants can wear cricket whites if they have them but should ensure that they are in clothing that is comfortable for physical activity as well as trainers suitable for indoors.
 

Participants in Year 5 and above will need full protective cricket equipment including pads, gloves, a box, a bat and a helmet as well as a hard cricket ball.

Participants on the Year 4 and below do not need to bring protective equipment with them as all equipment will be provided. If participants wish to bring their own bat then that is encouraged.
 

The weather will not affect the courses as they are all run from the Indoor Cricket Centre at Lord’s.
 

Lunch is not provided on the courses, however, there is a café in the Indoor Cricket Centre where food and drinks can be purchased. Participants can also bring their own packed lunch, snacks and drinks if they wish. Participants should bring a bottle of water with them with water fountains in the Indoor Cricket Centre to fill these up throughout the sessions.

Participants should arrive 10 minutes before the session to register at the reception of the Indoor Cricket Centre. Please also ensure that if your child has any allergies, ailments and/or requires any medication that you inform the Indoor Cricket Centre reception and leave anything that he or she may require during the Course with one of MCC’s representatives.

Finally, please ensure that your child is picked up from the Indoor Cricket Centre at the end of the Course. MCC accepts no responsibility for supervision of any children following the conclusion of the Course.

While Covid19 restrictions are in place parking will not be available for customers under any circumstances. Neither will cars be able to access the Ground to drop anyone off. On-street metered parking is available in surrounding streets.

Please do not try to enter Lord’s Cricket Ground in a vehicle, even just for drop-off, as you will be turned away.
