World Cricket Connects

World Cricket Connects to return to Lord’s in 2025 following formation of the World Cricket Connects Advisory Board (Connects Board)

The forum, which proved hugely popular in bringing together influential people from across all aspects of cricket in its inaugural year in 2024, will be held at Lord’s on Saturday 7 and Sunday 8 June 2025, ahead of the ICC World Test Championship Final between South Africa and Australia.

The first event saw around 120 of the leading voices in cricket gather in the Long Room last July to discuss the many challenges and opportunities in global cricket.

FAQS

Attendance is by invitation only and the event will not be streamed online, but there will be the chance to follow discussion from the event on MCC's social media channels. There will also be a video wrap-up of the event released in the days after the event, with some of the game's big names discussing the outputs. There will also be a number of articles appearing in the media, both in the run-up to and after the event.

The main body of the event will take place in the Long Room at Lord's, one of the most iconic venues in the game.

MCC is a neutral body that cares deeply about the game. The Club sees this as an opportunity to bring together many of cricket's leading decision-makers and thinkers in an attempt to try to find consensus on what the game can do better.

This will be the first World Cricket Connects and it is hoped that many different discussions around the shape of the game will continue to be had as the game evolves in the future, which may see a need for further Connects events.

In the topics of conversation section of the website, you can find the full list of speakers and panellists with a range of stakeholders from across the game recognised for what we will be four thought-provoking sessions during the day.
