K.P. Pietersen 134 v IndiaBack to boards

Kevin Pietersen’s got his name added to the Honours Boards for a third time when he hit 134 versus India in 2007.

Hitting 14 fours in an innings where he faced 213 balls, Pietersen helped rescue England after they had slumped to 132-5 in their second innings with a view to building a lead.

To that date, Pietersen described his hundred as the “number one of all my centuries in international or county cricket”.

Pietersen’s knock guided England to gain a lead of 380 heading into the final two days but weather proved frustrating for the hosts as India managed to hold out their final wicket to draw the Test at the Home of Cricket.
