MCC has today announced its long-term partnership with Moët Hennessy has been extended to December 2024. The company will continue to be the Official Champagne Supplier at Lord’s.
Since 2005, Veuve Clicquot, one of Moët Hennessy’s leading champagne brands, has become synonymous with visitors enjoying a day at the Home of Cricket.
In addition to the popular Veuve Clicquot Champagne Bar and Garden on the Nursery Ground, Moët Hennessy’s portfolio of champagnes will be available for guests to enjoy, supplying a premium offering for visitors both on match days and for non-match day events and experiences.
As a result of the partnership, and in response to the growing demand for high-end, quality cricketing experiences, MCC is launching a new Veuve Clicquot Suite at Lord’s. This VIP suite holds up to 15 guests and includes superb views of the Ground, luxury interior and furnishings alongside premium dining experiences, paired with Veuve Clicquot champagne and wines from the Moët Hennessy portfolio.
Andy Muggleton, MCC Assistant Secretary (Commercial) said: “Lord’s already has a reputation for delivering a high-quality visitor experience. Champagne and cricket are perfect partners and I am delighted we are renewing our relationship with Moët Hennessy, with Veuve Clicquot as the leading brand.
The Veuve Clicquot Champagne Bar and Garden, already so well-known at Lord’s, provides a touch of luxury for all visitors, whilst the launch of the new experiential suite will create the ultimate VIP champagne experience at the Home of Cricket.”
"A new, luxury Lord’s experience with a Veuve Clicquot twist"
This year visitors to the Ground will be able to enjoy refreshments on match days from the new sustainable Veuve Clicquot Champagne Bar, which has replaced the previous structure at the Nursery end of the Ground. The new bar has been created in partnership with Reborn Merchandise, a manufacturer which champions creating products from recycled materials, and has been made out of plastic from recycled bars.
Alexei Rosin, Managing Director at Moët Hennessy UK, adds, “Our Veuve Clicquot partnership with Lord’s is a historic one, and we are thrilled to announce that we will make use of our new collaboration with Reborn to ensure ‘single use’ plastics take on a new life as a lasting part of the structure of the new Veuve Clicquot Champagne Bar.
"It is essential today to deliver sustainable solutions to ensure waste, plastics in particular, are recycled into innovative solutions. A new, luxury Lord’s experience with a Veuve Clicquot twist."
