The Collections Officer supports the care, cataloguing, and movement of museum collections, ensuring their preservation and detailed documentation. Reporting to the Head of Heritage & Collections, the role involves exhibition preparation, environmental monitoring, security, and improving access to collections. They will collaborate with internal teams and contractors, support events and research, and manage retrospective cataloguing to enhance records. On major match days, they will oversee display security and interact with visitors. This role requires excellent organisational, communication, and practical skills.

REQUIRED SKILLS, EXPERIENCE AND QUALIFICATIONS
- Relevant degree or recognised qualification in Museum Studies/Museum Management.
- Strong computer skills, including database experience (ADLIB/Axiell), and good written, and interpersonal communication.
- High organisational skills, attention to detail, and ability to work independently, including managing students, staff, and contractors.
- Practical skills for handling and cataloguing objects (e.g., sewing, marking, using hand tools) and capability to work at heights when required.
