MCC, supported by Sky Sports and Take Her Lead, is looking to uncover the next generation of female cricket broadcasting talent. If you're a budding young journalist or interested in forging or progressing a career in broadcasting, and you're between the age of 18-24, then enter today to be in with a chance of being part of the Sky Sports team for their live broadcast coverage at The Hundred Final at Lord’s on Sunday 18 August.

The MCC Young Female Broadcaster of the Year competition aims to increase opportunities for young women looking to forge a career in the cricket media, specifically in broadcasting. All you have to do is upload a short showreel of you doing a match commentary, match report or a presenter clip.
The winner and five shortlisted runners-up who will be invited to Lord’s for the Metro Bank England Women's T20 International against New Zealand on Wednesday 17 July. During the day they will be invited to meet the Sky Sports and BBC teams working on the live match coverage.
The winner will also get the chance to spend the day with the Sky Sports team for their live broadcast coverage at The Hundred Final at Lord’s on Sunday 18 August.

How to enter?
Entry for the competition is through submission of a video or audio showreel of a match commentary, match report, or presenter clip. Your submission should be a maximum of six minutes long and uploaded as a YouTube or Vimeo link.
Entries open at midnight on Saturday 11 May and close at midday on Thursday 27 June.

What are we looking for?
Entries for MCC Young Female Broadcaster of the Year will be judged on the following criteria:

Enthusiasm and passion - We want to see and hear your passion and enthusiasm for cricket in your submission.

Originality - We are looking for entries to be original and innovative in style and approach.

Knowledge - You’ll need to show us your knowledge about cricket in your submission.

Presentation and delivery - Whether it’s a match report, commentary, or presenter clip, your presentation and delivery need to be clear and engaging for judges and for viewers and listeners.

Who is the MCC Young Female Broadcaster of the Year aimed at?
We are looking for entries from females, or those who identify as female, between the age of 18-24. You could be looking to take your first steps in the sports broadcasting industry, have studied or are currently studying journalism or media and most importantly have a passion for cricket and a career in sports broadcasting.
When will the winner be announced?
The winner and five shortlisted runners up will be invited to Lord’s for the England v New Zealand Women’s Metro Bank T20 International at Lord’s on Wednesday 17 July, when the runners up names and winner will be announced.
What is the winning prize?
The winner of the competition will be invited to Lord’s to be part of the Sky Sports team for the for their live broadcast coverage of The Hundred Final on Sunday 18 August.
How will the winner and runners up be chosen?
The winners and the runners up will be chosen by a panel of cricket broadcasters and representatives from MCC, Sky Sports, Take Her Lead and well-known current presenters, against the criteria above. The panel will be chaired by former England cricketer, current broadcaster and Founder of Take Her Lead, Isa Guha.
