Important information for England v Pakistan 10 July

We now have further information about the ODI at Lord’s on 10 July, which will be staged as a part of the Government’s Event Research Programme (ERP).

We have been in consultation with Public Health England and our local Safety Advisory Group on the arrangements for the match and we are pleased to confirm that we have been granted permission to operate at 100% seating capacity for this match, with the implementation of a number of risk reduction measures.

However, it does mean that attendance is subject to some additional entry requirements. If you are planning to attend the match, read on further about the important information and actions you need to take.

What is the capacity for this match?

This fixture will be staged as a part of the Government’s Event Research Programme (ERP).

We have been in consultation with Public Health England and our local Safety Advisory Group on the arrangements for the match and we are delighted that we will be at full seating capacity.

This means that all current ticket purchasers ticket(s) are valid but that attendance is subject to some additional entry requirements.

What are the spectator requirements for attending this match?

Admission to the match, for all ticket holders aged 11 and over, will be subject to providing evidence of your COVID-19 Status.

• Ticket holders from England will be required to provide either of the following:

  • proof of a negative Lateral Flow Device Test (LFT) which has been taken no more than 48 hours before the match, demonstrated via a text message or email (printed or via your device) from NHS Test and Trace or via the NHS App; or

  • proof of full vaccination with both doses received at least 14 days prior to the match, demonstrated via the NHS COVID Pass (available via the NHS App); or

  • proof of natural immunity from proof of a positive PCR in the last 180 days (and not in the last 10 days).

• If you live in Scotland, you can obtain your full vaccination status here. If you have not received both doses at least 14 days prior to the match you will need to provide evidence of a negative lateral flow test, which has been taken no more than 48 hours before the match, via SMS text or email.

• If you live in Wales, you can obtain your full vaccination status by following the instructions here. If you have not received both doses received at least 14 days prior to the match you will need to provide evidence of a negative lateral flow test, which has been taken no more than 48 hours before the match, via SMS text or email.

• All other ticket holders (international and those from Northern Ireland) will be required to provide proof of a negative lateral flow test, which has been taken no more than 48 hours before the match, via SMS text or email.

All events in Phase III will trial the NHS App and Covid status to explore all possible ways of allowing greater numbers of fans to return to events as safely and efficiently as possible.

More information on COVID-19 Status may be found here. Please start making plans now for you and your group to obtain proof of your COVID-19 status. Without proof of your COVID-19 Status, you will not be admitted to the Ground. Please note we are not able to accept vaccine cards.

Attendees under the age of 11 do not need to prove their status. This means they do not need to present evidence of a negative LFD, or be fully vaccinated, in order to attend the match.

How can I provide evidence of my COVID-19 Status?

Evidence of COVID-19 Status will be required for every attendee, aged 11 or over, and we advise that you start planning how you will confirm this now.

You can provide evidence in any of the following three ways:

  1. via the NHS COVID Pass on the NHS App – you can input your vaccination information and/or your LFD test result and/or your previous positive PCR test result into the App; or

  2. via SMS Text or email showing a negative LFD test result; or

  3. via a downloaded or printed copy of the NHS COVID Pass accessible by logging into the NHS website (registration required). A postal copy (sent to your GP-registered address) can be requested via the NHS website or by telephoning 119.

Using the NHS APP:

You can do this by downloading the NHS App to your smartphone. Please note that this is different from the NHS COVID-19 App which is used for Test and Trace.

The NHS COVID Pass is available within the NHS App and is the UK’s Government’s preferred method for demonstrating your Covid Status at ERP events as it is helping them to test their processes for the return of large crowds.

It will allow you to provide evidence of your status quickly by showing your phone to stewards as you enter the Ground.

The NHS App is available to those registered with a GP in England (aged 16 and over). If you are resident in Scotland or Wales, you can also access your vaccination status. Visitors from Northern Ireland or another country can use LFD tests (see Point 2 below).

To get information on the NHS COVID Pass and how you can have it ready in time for your visit, please follow the link here.

SMS Text or Email (for all UK and overseas residents)

You can show your negative LFD test result via SMS text, email or in the NHS App. Children aged 11-16 must use this method as they are not permitted to use the NHS App. There is no requirement for attendees under the age of 11 to demonstrate their COVID-19 status.

Download or printed copy of the NHS COVID pass

You can download a PDF copy of your NHS COVID Pass, or receive an offline copy by email by logging in to the NHS Website (requires registration). You can then either bring a printed copy of the letter to the Ground or display it on your internet-enabled device to gain entry.

If you do not have access to a computer or smartphone, you can order a copy of the NHS COVID Pass letter by telephoning 119. This option is available to those who are fully vaccinated, over the age of 16 and registered with a GP in England. Please note the letter can take up to five working days to reach you.

Can I use my vaccine card to prove my COVID-19 status?

We are not able to accept vaccine cards as proof of vaccination.

Once we have received consent from all those in your group, we will issue your ticket(s) via email to the lead booker.

Do I have to give my (or my children's) personal details and consent?

The ERP is a scientific study and for this match, COVID-19 legislation will be disapplied within the Ground. It is therefore important that everyone attending is aware of what this means and how it might impact you personally. More information on the ERP and Consent can be found here.

Information on how to provide personal details and consent, should you wish to, have been sent to the lead booker. It is the responsibility of the lead booker to forward on this information to all those in their group. The online form can be found here.

You can provide the names of all children aged 11 or over but it is not mandatory. This information can be supplied at the same time when completing adult details.

Please remember, regardless of the above, that failure to provide your COVID-19 Status on entry to the Ground will mean you will not be permitted to enter.

Will I have to sign in or use the NHS COVID-19 app?

We will be asking visitors to complete a venue check-in via the NHS COVID-19 Test and Trace app.

QR codes will be around the Ground so attendees can do this as quickly and efficiently as possible.

Will Lord’s be providing a facility to do a Lateral Flow Test (LFT) onsite?

Due to restricted space at Lord’s, we will be unable to offer onsite LFTs and we strongly encourage you to take your test at home, before travelling to the Ground. However, the closest Covid-19 testing sites to Lord’s are as follows:

  • Moberly Sports Centre, 25 Chamberlayne Rd, Ladbroke Grove, Kensal Green, London NW10 3NB (11min drive from Lord’s). Monday and Thursday 8am-4pm, Tuesday, Wednesday, Friday, Saturday and Sunday from 10am to 4pm

  • The Church House Conference Centre, Great Smith Street, Westminster, London SW1P 3NZ. (18min drive from Lord’s) Monday and Thursday, 8am-5pm, Tuesday, Wednesday and Friday, 9am-5pm, and Saturday and Sunday, 10am to 4pm

  • St Anne’s Church Community Hall, 55 Dean St, London W1D 6AF (18min drive from Lord’s) Monday to Saturday at 10am to 4pm

Will there be social distancing measures in place and do I have to wear a face covering?

When in the Ground, there will be no social distancing requirements and the rule of six will not apply in our restaurants and hospitality areas. Face coverings will be required to be worn when moving around the Ground (‘mask on the move’), when using bars and food outlets for example but not whilst seated, unless you are exempt. Please follow the guidance from our stewards.

Hand sanitisers will be in place around the Ground and we will continue our increased hygiene and cleaning measures.

There will be a large number of people at the Ground so please be respectful of those around you. Please be patient and try not to enter particularly busy areas and to wait instead to use the facilities in quieter periods.

Access around the Ground will not be limited but please follow our stewards’ advice and guidance as they will be well informed on how to avoid crowded areas.

Can I bring my own food and drink to the Ground?

MCC has always taken pride in Lord’s being the only major match venue that allows spectators to bring a personal allowance of food and alcoholic drinks. To help ease congestion around our food and drink outlets, please do bring your own supplies with you.

We will have a large range of food and drink options available, and we will aim to serve you as efficiently as possible. Once you have made your purchase, please move on quickly to make room for others waiting to be served. All food and drinks can be taken to your seat to be consumed.

More information on food and drink options, including pre-ordering and availability of restaurants will be sent to the lead booker nearer to the match.

Tickets/OTHER INFORMATION

Do I need to allow more time on arrival?

We will do our best to get everyone into the Ground as efficiently as we can, but please allow plenty of time to get through the gates as the process will take longer than usual.
